“I live in what is called the tropics, between the Tropic of Capricorn and the equator.  Most of the people in my country live along the southeastern coast.  My family lives by subsistence farming.  Some of my friends’ fathers live in the nearby copper mines.  For fun, I like to go hiking in the local mountains.”
