Begin My Access #2 Causes of Good Grades: you must score 3.2 and have it done by Friday;

work on stations for vocabulary, comma rules, and explanatory writing

Learn to write explanatory paragraphs well at the teacher's table; then go to the practice station and write with your team.  The teacher will grade them the next day with you as a team. No School

Teacher explains penalties for cheating (copying/plagiarizing) on My Access: F in the grade book, citizenship notice to the principal, rewrite using a different topic, 2nd offense is suspension.

Work on completing stations.  The end of trimester is tomorrow.

Teacher grades all stations.  End of trimester grades are entered and shared with students.

Parents will see grades on Scholarsmart next week.

Labor Day Day 1 of writing stations:  editing, parts of speech, making a script for a short story, writing a descriptive metaphor paragraph about someone else. Day 2 of stations:  start meeting in your color groups for special time with the teacher.  Period 5 has fundraiser assembly. Day 3 of stations:  today is the district grading day.  You should have the first bullet done for each station on the station directions page.  Look at my web site for a copy (edit 40 mistakes, make hand signals for the parts of speech, read "7th Grade", make a planner for your 2nd metaphor paragraph.)

Day 4 of stations:  2nd chance to grade the first bullets; some will be ready to grade the 2nd bullets (put a paragraph in order, label a sentence with parts of speech, write 1 page of script changing "7th Grade", write the rough draft of your metaphor paragraph of someone else)
