The “Ten Questions” of Personal Geography

 

 

Directions:  Answer each of the following questions in a complete paragraph.   Be sure to answer each part of each question fully.  Your final draft will need to be typed.

 

1.     Where is a place you would like to vacation for a week?  What would you do there?

 

2.     Where is a place you would like to live for a year?  Why did you choose that place?

 

3.     Where would you least like to live or visit?  Why wouldn’t you want to go there?

 

4.     Where is a place that something very important in your life happened?  What happened there that was important to you?

 

5.     Where is a place, more than 100 miles away, that a special friend or relative lives?  What makes that person special?

 

6.     Where is the most beautiful place you’ve ever been?  Describe that place.

 

7.     Describe a place where you had some important learning experience in life (it doesn’t have to be in a school!).  What did you learn?

 

8.     Where were you born?  Remember to write your answer in a paragraph, and be sure to include the following places:

 

A.   The name of the hospital

B.    The city

C.   The county

D.   The state

E.    The country

F.     The continent

(if you’re not sure about some of the above, ask your parents and use a map)

NOTE:  Paragraph #8—and only paragraph #8—may be less than 6 sentences!
