YOU'VE BEEN ZAPPED!

(Zeros Aren't Permitted!)

We know that all kids want to do well.  Sometimes, life makes this difficult.  There are many reasons why you might not have done your work and turned it in on time.

Nonetheless, our goal is to help you earn A's and B's and master the skills necessary for middle school.  Zeros will knock out your chance at A's and B's.  Therefore:

ZAP PROCEDURE:

1.  You don't have your work. Your teacher gives you 24 hours to finish. (If you were absent, the district says you get 1 day for each day you were absent + 1 additional day.  Then the work is due for full credit. If you don't turn it in on that day, you are at step 1.)

2.  You still don't have your work.  Your teacher has you come in for lunch to complete on Wednesdays in the core classrooms (teachers are present).

3.  You don't remember to come to lunch, and you still don't have your work.  Let's call parents and see if they can help you finish your work.

4.  You still don't have your work.  Down we go to the counselor and assistant principal for help or a stern lecture.

5.  TIME TO GO TO ZAP!  You will miss classroom enrichment activities while you go to ZAP in 1-2 of the core classrooms to complete your missing work.  Work will be given 75% of the total value if it is done correctly.
