My name is Carrie Aylor. I have been teaching for 15 years. The first 3 were at the high school level in Tennessee, and the last 12 have been here in Adams 12 at another middle school teaching 7th grade. I am excited to begin my first year at Century on the Atomic Core! My undergraduate degree is in English from Middle Tennessee State University- Go, Blue Raiders! After moving to Colorado, I completed my Master’s Degree at UCDenver in Information and Learning Technologies-Teacher Librarian Leadership. In the past I have helped coach Girls on the Run and participated on the staff Battle of the Books team.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, husband, and three dogs. We love to camp, hike, watch movies, and try out local activities. I also LOVE to read! One of my goals is to read 100 books every year. If you have a book you love, tell me about it! I love adding new titles to my “to Read” list. I’d also love to share book titles and authors with you!
I am excited to begin working with the staff, students, and families at Century. Here’s to a fantastic year as we grow as readers and writers!
Study Sessions: Wednesday during lunch in my classroom (please get a pass to come)
