Ms. Burdick's Class

Do the math!

Let's just forget the "M" word and call it PROBLEM-SOLVING! Everyone solves problems in their own ways and we celebrate it. So, welcome to our class, bring your ideas and we can solve these problems together!

Here is more information on the main book that we will be using this year: Big Ideas

Our  curriculm is called Big Ideas. This year we will be connecting to mathematics with a study in each of the following areas:  Integers, Rational Numbers, Expressions and Equations, Inequalities, Ratios and Proportions, Percents, Constructions and Scale Drawings, Circles and Area, Surface Area and Volume, as well as Probability and Statistics. In general students will study the above to develop understanding with application to model a given situtation.

This is a new experience for all of us.  Working together, we can accomplish great things!   I will be available to help you.    This page  will be updated when I have more information.
