GT students!  Just a reminder that parent permission slips for the mindfulness workshop are due by Friday September 28th.  Please turn these in to either the main office or counseling office.

Buddy Club will have our first meeting this Wednesday, in room D109 from 2:15 - 3:15.  Hope to see you there!

You are NOT a soup can, you don’t need a label! Join our Safe Space for lots of support, community, and fun. Safe Space, also known as Gay-Straight Alliance,  meets on Tuesdays after school until 4:30 in B100. All are welcome! For a permission slip please see Mrs. Gilio, Ms. Espey, or Ms. Lenny. Or, you can grab one at your first meeting.  

Hey there OASIS hikers!  Remember to come to Ms. Colston’s room, F207 after school TODAY for our MANDATORY meeting for our hike this Wednesday!  We can’t wait to see you there and get ready for our first hike of the 2018-2019 year! Remember: YOU belong outside!

Interested in learning about Washington DC or the Civil War? Want to see great sights on the East Coast? Come join us to learn more about the 2019 Spring break trip tomorrow night, Tuesday Sept 25th at 7 pm in the Century Middle School Library.

Join Century Middle School staff to learn about this year's trip and ask any of your questions. We will be visiting our Civil War battlefields such as Antietam and Gettysburg, and Washington DC monuments and sights, along with a few special things planned just for Century!  If you can't make it - See Ms. Pearson for more information.

Today is Constitution Day. This morning 25 flags, each representing two states of the union, were posted by members of National Junior Honor Society and Student Council.

On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created and today we celebrate that document which was a cornerstone in founding our country. in 2004 a law was passed that mandates that all students and schools study the Constitution, and that this day, once known as Citizenship Day, celebrates this document that founded our country.Today Century celebrates Constitution Day and thanks the Eagle Scouts from Troop 511 for making the flags for our school which help us remember this day in history.

Thank you to all students who participated in the school Hat Day on Friday to support Pennies for Patients and the Make a Wish Foundation. NJHS and STUCO are sponsoring a hat day to support the Make a Wish Foundation tomorrow. Purchase a donation sticker, for $1,  today after school or Friday before school so that you can wear your hat tomorrow. Purchase them outside the school store today and in front of the school tomorrow. Hats may not distract from the learning in any classroom. You must wear a sticker to wear a hat. Join in and support the Make a Wish Foundation this week on Friday!

Intramural Soccer is meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school through the end of September. If you would like to join, its not too late. You need to see a PE teacher for the paperwork, or print the waiver from the PE website and complete it to attend.

Hey all you amigos looking for a little bit of fiesta in your life, Spanish Club’s got just what you need! With meetings once a month on  Thursdays in room D210, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to participate in the various activities planned. No need to worry, games, music, and food will always be supplied. The first meeting will be September 13th if you have any questions contact Senora Rendon. Come one Come all!

Great job Oasis hikers!  We hiked 3.4 miles at Guanella Pass and into Georgetown.  We saw amazing sights, ate dinner at 12,000 feet, and hiked amongst some great company.  Thank you for kicking our year off right. See you next month and remember, “You belong outside!”

Hey all you 3D MAKERS!  Yes you! I know you have been waiting for the big announcement.....3D Makers Club starts today after school.   Meet and line up in front of the library. Our meeting will only go until 4:30 for the first night. Come join us and learn about our club!   We take new members all year long! Wanna make something? Then you are coming to the right place! We have crafts, robotics, electronics, a 3D printer, a vinyl sticker cutting machine, and more!  See you Tuesday!

Grab your rackets and paddles and come join the fun after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Racket Sports!  We will play Pickleball, Badminton, Nitroball and Table Tennis! It's more fun with loads of players! If you have a dog named Pickles - they are welcome too.  Hey teachers this shout out is for you too........come join in the fun and play with us! Great job Oasis hikers!  We hiked 3.4 miles at Guanella Pass and into Georgetown.  We saw amazing sights, ate dinner at 12,000 feet, and hiked amongst some great company.  Thank you for kicking our year off right. See you next month and remember, “You belong outside!”
