Century Artwork Featured at "Trust the Process" Art Show
Three students at Century Middle School are going to be featured in a local art gallery! This is part of a collaboration between teacher and student for the annual Artsource Exhibition. Our students, Addison, Elizabeth and Emily, chose to highlight a few endangered creatures of the sea by repurposing found costume jewelry elements and recycled items. By turning this "trash" into treasures of the deep, they hope to remind us of our collectives responsibilities in caring for our planet and all of the critters out there. This endeavor was inspired by local Coloradan artist, Ina Solsbery, who teaches workshops through ReCreative in Denver. Opening night is October 4th, but work will be displayed through October 27th. The 40 West Gallery is located in the HUB near Casa Bonita. See image for address and times. We would like to invite our Century community to come check it out and support our students.
