Our Principal
Ms. Kristin Devlin-Vollmar - Principal
Ms. Devlin-Vollmar has been in education since 2002, and has served as Principal at Century since 2020. Prior to being named Principal, she served as Assistant Principal for Century for two years and five years at Northglenn High School overseeing discipline and attendance. Before Northglenn High School she was the IBMYP coordinator at Thornton Middle School. She started her teaching career at Century in 2002 after she graduated from The University of West Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Devlin-Vollmar started working for Adams 12 at age 16 as a BASE leader at Mountain View and Skyview Elementary Schools as well as a paraprofessional in the SSN program at Niver Creek Middle.
She comes from a long time of public servants; teachers and firefighters. Her mom taught middle school mathematics and special education for nearly 40 years, 17 of those years in Adams 12 and several at Century! Her dad was a public servant in our community as a Fire Chief for Thornton and other local fire departments. He was also a music educator when he started his fire service career.
Ms. Devlin-Vollmar continued her education receiving a Master's Degree from The University of Colorado at Denver in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in reading and writing. Upon completion of her Master's she completed an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Regis University as well as her Principal License from The University of Denver. As a teacher Ms. Devlin-Vollmar taught language arts in 7th and 8th grade as well as math and social studies at the 6th grade. She also taught reading. Ms. Devlin-Vollmar grew up in Century's boundary area and would have attended Century if it was built when she was in middle school. After moving from Florida in the 5th grade she attended Tarver Elementary School, Westlake Middle School and Horizon High School. She is a proud graduate of Adams 12 with many ties to our community that she still resides in with her children. Outside of school Ms. Devlin-Vollmar loves to coach softball, volunteer, read, travel and practice pilates! Pretty much everything she does revolves around her three kids and their passions or her second love, Early Childhood Education. She owns and operates a local preschool within the Century boundary area and is very vested in seeing the kids in our community thrive. She is most commonly found at sporting events for her kids, ages 16, 14 and 8, or out and about doing activities in our community.
