Hello, my name is Kristin Vollmar, one of the two assistant principals at Century. My teaching career started right here at Century back in 2002, where for nine years I taught; language arts, a variety of 6th grade subjects, was the student achievement coach and the IB coordinator. I left Century Middle School to help start the MYP Programme at The International School at Thornton Middle. I was at TISTM for a little over two years before joining the administration at Northglenn High School. In the past five years I was able to learn and grow as an educator overseeing discipline and attendance at Northglenn. I have long standing ties to the Adams 12 community as I am a product of Tarver Elementary, Westlake Middle School and then graduated from Horizon High School. After graduation I went on to play softball at The University of West Florida where I earned a BA in Elementary Education. Shortly thereafter I completed an MA in Curriculum and Instruction with and emphasis in Reading and Writing from University of Colorado at Denver, then completed a degree in Linguistically Diverse Education from Regis University as well as an additional degree in principal preparation program from University of Denver. I love learning and enjoy going to school to continue to help myself be the best I can be for teachers and students. In my free time I enjoy keeping up with my three children and husband! We like to play sports, go camping, boating and fish! I'm looking forward to returning to Century and starting my 17th year in education!
