Hello! My name is Sarah Worosylo. I am the Language and Literature (Language Arts) teacher for the 7th grade Rocky Mountain core. I started at Century Middle School in 2019, and I am very excited to continue with this amazing staff and work with my new students. I am a thirteen-year veteran of the Adams 12 District, and I have spent each of those thirteen years teaching 7th grade language arts.
Not originally from Colorado, I am from a military family and have lived in six different states growing up. I spent my undergraduate years at Middle Tennessee State University where I graduated with a BA in English and minor in secondary education. I completed my Master’s at the University of Colorado Boulder in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education.
Throughout this year, I hope to share my love of reading and writing with students and learn from them as well. In my past experiences, I have coached Girls on the Run and have been a part of my school’s staff Battle of the Books competitive team.
Outside of my classroom, I can be found with my son, husband, and three dogs. My favorite things to do are: READ!, binge my favorite tv shows, frequent my community’s many family activities, hike, camp, and take advantage of our beautiful state!
Here’s to a great school year!
Remote Learning Update: I have regular Wednesday office hours during Remote Learning. Each Wednesday from 9-10am, students can meet with me to ask questions, clarify expectations, rework assignments and more. The link to my office hour can be found on the Language Arts Schoology homepage inside the "Wednesday Office Hour" folder.
